Billy Sheehan. The fun part is trying to get that tone without stereo outputs.

I'll add Entwistle to that list (if he's not on already...). Maybe not on lots of recordings, but I bet there isn't a bassist alive that hasn't tried to sound like him at one point.


Lee Sklar too. That's the bass you hear on every recording ever, anyway.
