Most Popular Bass Lines

Please select from one of the 19 options, or pick other and post your selection. I tried to research all the threads on TB to come up with my options. I tried to stick to mainstream music, so I did not include Jaco. You will also see that several notable omissions, as I am going to keep this only to 19 songs. Have fun!

I will take the input from everyone that selected the OTHER option and create another poll for the other semi-final. I will then have a final with 20 options.

Iron Maiden - Phantom of the Opera.
I know its gonna be denigrated by a lot of people, who believe that you can only be a good bassist if you play Jazz or Funk, but the speed, technicality and the way it perfectly holds the rhythm, while at the same time supplementing, and taking, the melody.

I'm just confused that a bassist would find "Dazed and Confused" more appealing than "Ramble On".

i like ramble on more, but i think the dazed and confused line is more well known by the general public.

I realize that opinions are like "ya' know", but 14 votes, and only 1 vote for "My Girl". I just realize what type of music most of us listen to....

I love "My Girl" but the question was "most popular" not "most favorite."

While I think all those bass lines are popular; I don't think anyone is as popular as Michael Jackson. That's why I went with "Billy Jean."

i tried to go one per artist, but couldnt decide between under pressure and another one bites the dust, so i threw in RHCP's cover of higher ground. i also wanted superstitution in there, but a lot of people like Wonder's I was made to love her.

"Popular" as the ones bass players like, or that the general public thinks is a cool line, or that the general public recognize, or what?
