Hey guys, just want to know your opinons of who the most underrated bassist out there is. Sorry if there is already a thread like this.
In my opinion, its Tom Hamilton (Aerosmith), John Deacon (Queen) and Dave Meros (Spock's Beard)

He's incredibly gifted, knows when to stay simple vs. doing his complex grooves. So few (including the bass community) know him because he's not into mainstream music. I've got all of his instructional videos, and IMO they are second to none. |

| | | | Peter Cetera of Chicago. From the jazz-influenced stuff to the pure pop to the experimental/angry-rock stuff, he was right there, singing while he did it. And great tone. |
