I'd say Dave Swift is the most versatile bassist I know of. He plays with Jools Holland.

I also think Nathan East is awesome.

Most Versatile

Oteil Burbridge.........., he seems to do well in a wide variety of playing situations, and I also enjoy the scatting which justs adds to his versatility.
