Mr. Les Claypool

I've always been a big fan of Claypool. He is the reason I keep persuing the instrument. My all time favorite bass player. I was watching the "Fancy" dvd tonight. I have seen it before. But there was something about it tonight that just reminded me of what a great inspiration Claypool really is. There are several bass players that are said to be better in just about every aspect of the instrument..........but not to me.... Just wanted to say....thank god for Claypool....

Great bass player indeed

I actually haven't seen Fancy yet. Is that with the line-up from his latest tour?

Yep Les is awesome. I'd be interested to check out whatever he's doing now.

Les is the reason I picked up the instrument. I haven't listened to his stuff very much at all lately, but he still remains my favorite bass player as well.

Fancy is alright, but sometimes I wish the cameraman would have focused more on the bass on not on his different masks, or his saxophone player, or the weird Asian girl who plays instruments that look like they originated on Venus.

There might be better players in terms of technical ability, tone, blah blah blah, but when it comes to creativity, just amazing.

Same here. Had I not listened to Primus, that one fateful day, I would have never thought of touching a bass.

Thank God for Les!

Same for me. Me brother got the Brown Album and Highball With The Devil and I was hooked for a long time. It just took me 10 years to actualy pick up a bass I still listen to him, though, and I'm loving the bass
