Muse-Knights of cydonia Bass line- Tap or Not?

Sign in to disble this ad
I looked up how to play this song of Muse, on bassmasta and youtube (song covers), there is a tap section right on the middle of the song.

I watched band concerts on youtube and there is no tapping.

I listened to the song carefully and this sections seems to be done only with a synth.

So what's up with all that tapping?

Yep, he never taps that part live, so I recon it's a bass synth, but for some reason everyone thinks it's bass tapping. Or maybe tabbers just want an excuse to tab all the parts.

I just look at as being for poor musicians who dont have a synth they can still have that part in the song if they are covering it with a band or something. Its a neat little part to play. However as Essen said, no he doesnt do that part live.
