Ok, so it's not really an interview, but I got a chance to talk to Dustin Diamond, who played Screech from Saved By the Bell for ten years. Apparantly he's in the process of starting up a standup career, and he's starting with the college campuses, (starting with mine

) So, being our school's sound and light guy, I got to do sound and light for him and talk to him for a little bit. Apparantly he plays bass for a band whose name I very shamefully can't remember. I got to listen to their unreleased cd for a while, and it's not half bad. It's kind of off-the-wall music, but pretty fun to listen to. Kind of Mr. Bungle. So, anyway, here's a quick paraphrase of what we talked about. (I thought of all my TalkBass buddies, and decided to Talk Bass with him... ar ar ar...)
Me: So, what kind of bass do you play?
Dustin: Well, I have about (

) nine basses, fretless, fretted, five and six... I even have a twelve string.
Me: What's your main bass?
Dustin: Mostly I use a MusicMan 5.
That's about it. I hope this was entertaining as well as educational.
