Cool.

It's probably awesome to have a spousal unit in music.

Very cool Bud. My wife is a trumpet player and band director so it's VERY nice to have a spouce whose a musician.

This is putting you on the spot, but is your wife a good bass player? Whose playing would you compare her to? Or who are her influences?

Hope she can continue to write in these columns.

Lynda is a real sweetheart, I've had the good fortune to meet the LeComptes. Bud is an awesome guy as well! Bud actually told me that story of how they met in his shop, as I was getting a fretboard slotted. Very unusual to get married to someone two days after meeting them, but they knew each other through correspondence, and I think they are a great couple!

It's very cool to be married to someone who can understand, support and contribute to my obsession. She's very musical. She favours the keys more these days. She's got a great ear. She picks things up very quickly. She would/could be a very fine bass player if she PRACTICED! She's a big fan of James Jamerson and Carol Kaye so her bass playing tends to favor that sort of vibe. "Bernadette" and "Good Vibrations" roll-off pretty easily when she does pick up a bass. Every now and then she can't help herself and she has to try something I've built.
