It's probably awesome to have a spousal unit in music.

This is putting you on the spot, but is your wife a good bass player? Whose playing would you compare her to? Or who are her influences?
Hope she can continue to write in these columns.

Bud actually told me that story of how they met in his shop, as I was getting a fretboard slotted. Very unusual to get married to someone two days after meeting them, but they knew each other through correspondence, and I think they are a great couple! |

At the root of our desire, when you get right down to the foundation - you'll find the bass.

Hope she can continue to write in these columns. | It's very cool to be married to someone who can understand, support and contribute to my obsession. She's very musical. She favours the keys more these days. She's got a great ear. She picks things up very quickly. She would/could be a very fine bass player if she PRACTICED! She's a big fan of James Jamerson and Carol Kaye so her bass playing tends to favor that sort of vibe. "Bernadette" and "Good Vibrations" roll-off pretty easily when she does pick up a bass. Every now and then she can't help herself and she has to try something I've built.
