Question Mystery Bass Player

Sign in to disble this ad
It was London's 'Talk Of The Town' venue and the year was 1968. The Supremes were doing a 'cabaret' gig in London as part of a European tour. There is an album on vinyl of the occasion.
The Supremes were backed by an orchestra "conducted" by the bass player who played a Fender (sunburst Precision I think) and led the band with his back to the audience much of the time. All the band wore dinner suits.
The bass player wasn't overly thin or tall and may have had a small beard.
Who was that man????
It's eating me up . . I have to know. . .the guy that started me playing bass all that time ago. Any guesses? He was pretty darn good too.
Who were you??

At last - the name. Thanks so much for that. I can't find anything else about Mr Garrett so far but have ordered the Amsterdam DVD from the same tour in '68 so hopefully I'll get to watch him again. Thanks.
