I didn't know what section this would be appropriate in which to ask, so tell me if another section would be best. What bass, distortion (and whatever else would be important) did John Myung use on Dream Theatre's first album to get that distinct sound? I love that airy, poppy sound that he has in those recordings. |

Also while messing with effects at my guitarrist's house this weekend, I found a tone that's similar, so I'm pretty sure he used a chorus pedal (and probably some distortion as well), I don't know for the whole album, but Status Seeker has lots of Chorus on it.
(Also, I got some hints from Wiki as well). The Spector was for I&W.
