I was checking out some Elvis live shows on YouTube and came across this 1970 version of Suspicious Minds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTYg2...eature=related
Wow, that cat is smoking on that P-bass and borderline upstaging the King!
A quick Google leads me to believe it's a gentleman named Jerry Sheff. Anyone know for sure, and if so what other gems by Mr. Sheff I should check out?
Thanks!

| | | Hi,
Scheff definitely has been around: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerry_Scheff
How many can say they did the King, the Doors and Roy Orbison?...in addition to everyone else on the list

Thanks for the link. I see that Jerry Sheff's son Jason became the bass player for Chicago, and co-wrote their song "Bigger Than Elvis".
Cool, I learned something new.

Leaving out of Florida. Can't wait. Even thinking about buying a Lakland Scheff between now and then and asking him to sign it for me. I've been a fan of his since the early 1970's. Great groove player. |
