Hi,
I have been doing a solo gig for years now and have always missed the thunder that a live bass player brings to a gig. Unfortunately, I can't have a live bass player . My latest sub was to use Trilogy to record audio tracks to play with. But still not quite satisfied.
So, bass players, Gods of Thunder, what have you to recommend that comes close to your sound that I might try? I play all genres, Funk, Top 40 Rock, Latin....yup, just a music mongrel .
Cheers |

You could get half-way there concerning bass sounds, but it will seldom sound like a decent-to good bass player that adds all kinds of nuances into the playing, such as using fingers, sliding and so on...
I would think Trilogy had a set of bass sound, but maybe it's very atmospheric concerning bass sounds. Otherwise, I would just use string synth bass lines, those work fine as well. --Kent |

Need something a little simpler.... it can get pretty difficult making sure the stand up bass in one song sounds as full as a some slap bass in another considering they're coming through the same channel. |

Cheers | Assuming this is not a TROLL, which is a leap I admit, you should know that this post does not belong in this forum, and I am asking the moderators to move the thread.
Furthermore, as I think many bassists will tell you, if you "can't have a live bass player ," that is your problem, not ours, IMHO.

Cheers | It begs the question of "why not?" Why can't you have a bass player?
