Upright Bass

Sorry if this should be in the classifieds but I figure I'd give the locals a heads up. My Knilling Bucharest 3/4 size upright needs a new home. Spruce top Maple flat back and sides. Adjustable bridge and ebony board. Strung with Spirocores. Also have a nice brazilwood bow and soft case to throw in. Great starter bass for someone looking to make the jump to doubling. I'm not trying to make much on this just want someone to get more use out of it than me. PM me if you're interested.

Hey all you cool NH musicians! My Rush tribute band, Invisible Airwaves, lost our guitarist recently and are in need of our Alex Lifeson. If you know any guitarist who might fit the bill, please PM me. Thanks!

I'd offer mine but I don't want to lose him!

I have my bass blinders on at the moment since I've bought so much stuff over the last few years that I don't need anything...besides, if I did want a new bass or amp I'd probably look for it here first. The only other thing I'd go for are strings, and I take a trip down to Just Strings in Milford for those.
Just Strings still operates a store front? I'd thought they'd gone to internet sales only?

hey guys it has been a while since I posted here, since my last post I have had to fix my p bass (the wire decided it didn't like the input anymore and they got divorced), I got married, and I got a new bass. The wife bought me a Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Special (The black one).

And my band is going to be doing some recording. Once I have more details I will update everybody.

it has been an interesting year in 2012 and 2013 looks to be interesting as well. Sadly, the first thing that tends to happen when I get busy is that I stop posting on here.

I have a completely unsolicited plug to throw out there to my fellow New Hampshire bassists .

If you are looking for shows check out the Jam Factory in Manchester? It's inside Raxx pool hall. My band played there earlier this month and it was a good time. They don't charge a cover but they have a donation bin at the front and the guy who runs the Jam Factory is all about local music. He splits the donations with the bands to help keep the jam factory running and give the bands some gas money. We look forward to playing there again. If you are interested in the jam factory check them out.

he also records a few videos of your performance and puts them on his youtube channel

By the way if you are looking for my bands videos we are called Happy Time Harry.

Happy New Year everyone!!!
Hope you all have a safe and happy 2013

I'll be looking for a Hippo Press (Jan 3rd edition) this week. Does anyone know where they have them...maybe somewhere along 101? They interviewed Aubrey a few weeks ago. We'll have the digital version, but would love to get an actual copy too.
I think Fox is re-airing the Keith Urban clip from the ACAs tonight on their NYE special - we had to sign another paper, so hopefully it will make it on there -she's still on cloud 9

Hannaford's usually has The Hippo Press. There's one off of Exit 5 in Raymond.

Happy New Year!

Hope everyone weathered the storm well yesterday!! It's so pretty outside today

There's a concert Saturday night at North Star in Plaistow 7pm for the winter Bass Workout...we can't make it this year but saw it posted on FB. Thought some might be interested. Jim Stinnett's group will be there and special guest, Rob Gourlay, who is phenomenal!! I've been to a bunch of those concerts and it's always a fun hang.

Aubrey did an interview with the Boston Herald yesterday...I think it will run tomorrow. They did some video for the "Guestlisted" part of the Herald's website too and she got to play a few tunes with her dad on drums. She's a lucky kid. Today it's history and Spanish midterms - back to reality!!
