Hey!!

A quick bass related update for you!! Business-wise, I just finished my new record with producer/engineer/mixer/Eventider/Red Vines Licorice junkie Ronan Chris Murphy (http://www.venetowest.com/rcm/index.html), whose credits include work with Tony Levin, The California Guitar Trio, King Crimson, Steve Morse, Robert Fripp, Terry Bozzio, Steve Stevens, etc.

This "DYNAMIC DUO" album features only myself and acoustic/electronic drumming madman Pat Mastelotto (http://www.patmastelotto.com) (King Crimson, XTC, TU (with Trey Gunn), The Sugarcubes, etc.) BEATING THE SNOT OUT OF 11 of my original compositions that were specifically written and orchestrated to showcase advanced bass and drums textures!

I think I'll title the album, "The Sixty-Five Thousand Dollar Donut" or some other clever title that references the kidnapping of my Grandmother. I had the record mastered at Threshold Sound (http://www.thresholdsound.com) by Chief Mastering Engineer Stephen Marsh (http://www.grasstain.com/images/Thre...ld%20Sound.JPG), who has done stellar mastering jobs for KORN, Incubus, Ozzy Osbourne, etc. I am not sure if he has done any work for P-Diddy. I know he did some great things for CARNIE......But most importantly, it was his genius work for Kenny Loggins that earned him a Platinum Record (http://www.grasstain.com/images/Thre...20Platinum.JPG) from the RIAA! Sweet……..

You can check out some cool pix and videos at Pat Mastelotto's website (http://www.patmastelotto.com/jayterrien.0.html) and at my site, located at (http://www.grasstain.com/Terrien_Mas...ions_index.htm).

I put up a sneak-peek MP3 here called "Hot Chicks LOVE Chocolates":

I hope all is well with you!!!

Cheers,

CRAZY JAY
