I'm in Bergen county, and there was plenty of flooding here as well as in nearby parts of Passaic county. And then to think about today, and about how many people from around our area did not come home 10 years ago is enough to give you pause. It leaves you with a profound sense of what is really important, and that when we as musicians perform in times of hardship and tragedy that we can serve to lift people up, and give them some brief moment of joy.
Here in Mahwah, there's an exhibit at the town museum which honors our long time resident and guitar/audio genius, Les Paul. I got to meet Les on a few occassions, and I regret not making more of the experience at the time. He truly was a pioneer in a range of musical fields and I hope the exhibit does him justice.
Lastly, I'll be playing in NYC tomorrow night, Monday, September 12th. There's a link to my Twitter feed in my sig which has all the details. Thanks! |

I buy the logs of it, slice it pretty thick (like thick as 2 presliced slices... bag most it up for the freezer) and fry it slowly until well done. |

| | | | So, I did wind up going to the Brighton Bar with my friends bands. It was a fun night. Kenny Aaronson sat in with one of the openers, a band called Frankenstein 3000. They were a real good, fun band. Headliner Glen Matlock's band rocked. Great times.

Glad to hear, yes it was good weather to play outside
I was playing Aqua in Asbury Park @ Coventional Hall. Not 100% sure but I think that's in between both of your gigs?
We were a bit south in Belmar Plaza and then D'Arcy's in Bradley beach.
We did an audition set at Trinity and the Pope in Asbury, heard we'll be getting called back to get on the schedule. WooHoo!
And speaking of porkroll, about 25 years ago I worked across from a luneheonette in Union that made a killer PRECBHF on a kaiser roll. I ate way too many of them things.

Second, PREC on a hard roll is on me!
As for the Matlock show, pissed I missed it. Got sideswiped in the studio and had to re-record half a songs worth of tracks, thanks to the pinkie finger of a now, quite humiliated, sound engineer who clicked the mouse one too many times.

Although he isn't playing bass on his solo tour, he's been out playing bass in the UK with the reunited Faces.

Having lost my home and belongings to hurricane Floyd in 1999, this is a personal subject to me. I am glad I can try and make a difference in my neighbors lives. Having gone through it I know the empty feeling some have right now. How to start over, where to start over. Do you rebuild or take a loss and move?
