....and right back at'cha, Dave! The 25th will be fun. I will be playing with JoBonanno and the Godsons www.jobonanno.com.

I have a bunch of gigs this week - Tuesday at the Linden outdoor ampitheater, Thursday in Thompson Park,Monroe Township/Jamesburg, and Saturday at Harrahs in Atlantic City.

I have the distinct pleasure this week to do a real world gig demo at these gigs of the new Backlund Design bass, courtesy of TBer Tom Richards. I'll do a full review next week!

Guys, do yourself a favor and stay away from Junction 46 in Ledgewood... The place sucks, and the owner is even worse. Doesn't promote or advertise anything and puts it solely on the band to draw. If the place is empty he blames the band. Not to mention he's a jerk, so who wants to see him do well. The pay is also terrible.

Anyone interested in an Ampeg HLF Classic 4x10 cab? After back surgery I'm looking to downgrade and sell mine. It's in perfect working order. I list it here because its definitely a pick-up only item.

Let me know!

I've always wondered how that works, the whole head and cabinet thing. I have my Ampeg combo amp, and ive never used anything else. You need a head for it, right? I should know this for later. Im not looking to buy right now, saving up for a 'Ray, just a question.

Ouch! I've had a lot of success using a single Neo 1x12" cab, which has been a big help for my own back. But I still visit a chiropractor. And that's been an absolute life saver! I'm definitely happy to refer my chiro to anyone who's in the Bergen county area. Playing in pain isn't fun.

After a lifetime of Ampeg, Hartke, & Eden gear, my recent (3+ years) switch to MarkBass has been a total blessing. I've been using the 121P combo amp with a 151P Traveler cab and I've yet to run into any issues. The only thing I do miss is feeling the air coming off an 810 cabinet

But for the sheer weight savings alone, I'm not complaining. The 121P combo weighs about 28 pounds, and the 151P cab weighs about the same. For most of my gigs (small jazz joints) I can walk in with the combo in one hand and the bass in the other with no stress to my rapidly deteriorating, out-of-shape aging body .......

Thats awesome. The Ampeg is a cool 110lbs and I have no doubt it contributed to my back issues. I'm now looking into the GK MBE 4x10. That comes in at a wicked 40lbs. The only thing is I LOVE the sound I get through the Ampeg. I'm willing to sacrifice that though to stay away from the operating table again!

Yes sir. You'll need some sort of head to run with the cab. I'm also considering selling the 'Ray you see in my avatar picture, once again due to the weight. I'm alot more hesitant to do that though because I love the bass. If you're interested in that let me know!

Selling....

Hey NJ, I'm letting go of my Swell Bass TOD because I have a verellen meatsmoke on the way. I figured I'd offer it up here first in hopes of a local deal so I don't have to ship it.

Here's my current CL ad. Pm me with questions.

The Shannon Rose in Ramsey has started booking bands. They opened up a few months back and that place is always packed.
