I have a bunch of gigs this week - Tuesday at the Linden outdoor ampitheater, Thursday in Thompson Park,Monroe Township/Jamesburg, and Saturday at Harrahs in Atlantic City.
I have the distinct pleasure this week to do a real world gig demo at these gigs of the new Backlund Design bass, courtesy of TBer Tom Richards. I'll do a full review next week!

Doesn't promote or advertise anything and puts it solely on the band to draw. If the place is empty he blames the band. Not to mention he's a jerk, so who wants to see him do well. The pay is also terrible.

Let me know!

Let me know! | I've always wondered how that works, the whole head and cabinet thing. I have my Ampeg combo amp, and ive never used anything else. You need a head for it, right? I should know this for later. Im not looking to buy right now, saving up for a 'Ray, just a question.

Ouch! I've had a lot of success using a single Neo 1x12" cab, which has been a big help for my own back. But I still visit a chiropractor. And that's been an absolute life saver! I'm definitely happy to refer my chiro to anyone who's in the Bergen county area. Playing in pain isn't fun. |

I've been using the 121P combo amp with a 151P Traveler cab and I've yet to run into any issues. The only thing I do miss is feeling the air coming off an 810 cabinet
But for the sheer weight savings alone, I'm not complaining. The 121P combo weighs about 28 pounds, and the 151P cab weighs about the same. For most of my gigs (small jazz joints) I can walk in with the combo in one hand and the bass in the other with no stress to my rapidly deteriorating, out-of-shape aging body ....... |

I'm now looking into the GK MBE 4x10. That comes in at a wicked 40lbs. The only thing is I LOVE the sound I get through the Ampeg. I'm willing to sacrifice that though to stay away from the operating table again!

I'm also considering selling the 'Ray you see in my avatar picture, once again due to the weight. I'm alot more hesitant to do that though because I love the bass. If you're interested in that let me know!
