New Norah Jones CD

I've been looking forward to it. I'm about to buy it (hopefully the store has it here locally tomorrow, otherwise it's off to iTunes). Anybody have it yet? How is it?

I'll let you know. I found out about it in mid-November/beginning of December. I own the other two and love them. I'm actually thinking of getting the Limited Edition version if they have it at the local store.

Im from the same town where she went to college and performed regularly at... The way she treated everyone makes it impossible for me to really give her a chance... Maybe I'll just try and check out what shes got going on now.

Alright, slight dilema. Local store here doesn't have it unless I spend 18Euro on the regular or 30Euro for the special edition.

Now I have 3 choices:
Order from Amazon the 1) Regular for $10 or 2) special edition for $20 and wait a week or two till it gets here
Order from iTunes the 3) Regular for $12 and have it instantly

Hi, I don't know if you can get this as you're outside of the UK, but the BBC has been showing a Norah Jones concert all week on TV. You can see some of it online here:

I have had the cd a few weeks now (industry source, yeah!). It's ok. Her first 2 cd's are better, IMO.

I saw this - very tasteful, restrained, nice playing and singing - but somehow lacking something - no "oomph"!!??

I've tried to like her stuff but just can't get past the fact that she only works in one gear (sleepy and mellow) and the sameness of her songs. There's just nothing that I find really outstanding or unique about her at all. I tried to believe, I really did.

Her first CD, which she did very little writing on, has some great songs and she pulls it off. But the last two have been snooze affairs. The song quality is just not the same. I listened to a lot of the new one and decided not to purchase.
