You hit it dead on about Tony's tone. I am not a fan of boosted treble and sizzle in any way. Some guys love the Marcus type tone. That's great for them! But I don't like it at all. So when I heard Tony play for the first time, I fell in love with his tone. It fits the music perfectly and sounds great solo'd. A great combination.

I know you're talking about Fuze concerning the unison lines, but Tony is no slouch when it comes to that either! One of the aspects of Anthony Jackson's playing that I've always greatly admired is his ability to play unison lines with just about anyone or anything. Even across his 36" scale bass. Tony is right there with Anthony on that. His doubling with Hiromi makes me sit back and say wow everytime I hear it.

Do you have the 'Spiral' album, Keith? It's great too!

I can't wait for the new album!

In 100% agreement about Tony's unison lines; some of that stuff is just crazy. I have heard a few tunes from "Spiral" but not the entire CD. It is on my short list of "must get" CD's along with "Brain". My background as a player is in progressive rock and the over the top kind of trebly tone that is associated with it. In the past few years I have sort of gone in the other direction with my tone, preferring a growly P bass or jazz bass type of tone and Tony's tone is sort the ideal IMO. Now I guess I start to save my pennies for a Fodera.

I hear that! A Fodera is on my dream list to own one day. A legendary instrument.

Yeah, I would say that 'Spiral' and 'Brain' are my two favorite albums so far. I actually don't own 'Another Mind'. I'll have to pick that one up. 'Time Control' is good but I find myself coming back to the trio again and again.

I'm just amped that they're recording. To say I'm anxiously awaiting a release date is an understatement!

Oh man, Another Mind is on another level to Spiral or Brain, while both are sensational records Another mind is musical brilliance beyond what I could have ever expected. Truth and Lies is my favorite song, ever.

Tony, could you tell hiromi I want to marry her, and to please tour Australia sometime.
