That is wicked....I was about to comment on the misleading title, but I don't care anymore, that is total Jaco 'style'

(well maybe add the word 'style', as it's not actually Jaco)

But this guy not only nailed the style...he got pretty darn close to the sound as well.

I really enjoyed that!....thanks!

I've heard Bireli play bass before. IMO he has very weak tone, where Jaco was a monster!

I would argue that there was nothing weak about that.

Argue whatever you want, he has a weak right hand. He's hitting the notes, but bass is obviously not his main instrument.

I don't think he has ever asserted that bass was his main instrument, and I wish my right hand was that weak . . . and I've been playing 21 years.

Hey, he is a better player than 99% of the people on TB, but he is no Jaco.

I'm "guessin," but I've heard enough of us to have a pretty good sample Hey I left one percent open for guys like Anthony Jackson, Jeff Berlin, and Roy Vogt.

the tone is pretty close but his time is awful....he can hardly hold on while doing the 16th note thing and he's making it feel a bit awkward....Jaco just oozed groove and his time was DEAD on....he's def an awesome player, he just should have done a little more practicing before busting a jaco clone solo

Considering they played together on a couple of albums and toured Europe, it's not surprising that some of Jaco rubbed off on him. Definitely not groovin' as hard as the man himself, but overall a pretty good job.

Well, he did play with Jaco on occasion and reportedly knew him well, and the piece is titled to lead one to believe it is kind of in homage. I think he is more than entitled to that.
