Nick Oliveri---what a great guy

Former QOTSA bassist Nick Oliveri facing up to 15 years in prison | News | NME.COM

Short version...Nick Oliveri arrested for coke, meth and guns. His girlfriend said he repeatedly hit her the day before and she called the cops because he refused to let her leave the property.

Yeah, I can see why a lot of you QOTSA and Kyuss fans really like this guy and hate QOTSA now. He sounds like a wonderful guy. Hope he gets double digit prison time.

Drugs, guns, AND domestic violence. This guy's pure class. I wonder if he'll look better in an orange or striped jump suit.

Orange. Everyone looks better in orange except fat people, where stripes are slimming. Unless of course they're horizontal stripes.

Having been there, I don't wish prison time on anyone. Being in Cal. doesn't help him as well as being a notorious Rock musician. Sounds like he was on a bad run and would have been arrested sooner or later.

Hey you copied me lol

But, yeah. I'm a huge QOTSA fan but Nick deserves what he gets coming to him.

Any man that puts his hands to a woman in violence deserves prison time IMO.

You posted this before? Sorry...didn't see it but didn't do a thorough search either...just the first page.

OOPS...gotta get new glasses! There it is on the first page! Anyway, sorry for the duplication.

It's too bad. So many of us are working hard to find the right group and sound to even get noticed regionally. Some guys seem to score better if not stellar success and fail to build upon it and sadly, go the opposite direction.

Don't be talking about Kyuss fans just because of that dude. He's been headed for this outcome for a while now.

Yep, being a wife beating drug addict certainly deserves one a lengthy stay in prison(IMO).
Given My feelings on both matters, I have no sympathy for this guy. Maybe spending some time around a bunch of other creeps, surrounded by four walls, three hots and a cot, and an economy that works off the bartering of cigarettes and contraband will be good for him.

Funny thing to read this AM, as i had a dream last night that I was battling an army of Meth-heads ala 80's Charles Bronson, Deathwish style.......

I heard he was kicked out of QOTSA because Josh Homme found out he had hit his girlfriend.

Being a great musician doesn't equate to being a decent human. I don't care how great a bass player is if he hurts a woman.

I always liked his music, but never cared for the guy. MUCH bigger Scott Reeder fan with Kyuss.

The Kyuss and QOTSA fans are way ahead of you on Nicks problems, Jimmy.

Now the Mondo Generator fans. THEY'RE the ones you should be calling out. I hear they're both pretty upset...

HUGE Kyuss fan! Much happier that Scott Reeder is playing the Canadian tour rather than Nick Oliveri. I love Kyuss but I can't respect a hard drug using wife beater, I just can't do that.

So sad to hear, but I completely understood when he was booted from QOTSA and I first heard of these issues.

Sad to see he's made so many terrible decisions. Also sad to see how many people on the internet see this as an opportunity to point out how much better they are than him.

What is the point of this post. To rub it in the faces of people that used to idolize him?
I can't help but notice your avatar having James Brown in it. I take it you are a bit of a fan. Have you heard about his long list of run ins, with the law?
I am not defending Nick, I just find the irony amusing

He did the crime, now do the time.
Maybe he can win the bass chair in prison.
