It's almost a shame the Mk II Deep Purple was arguably even better than the original line up with Nick, and Rod Evans (vocals), as I loved that first band. Hush was a great hit for them and they produced lot's of awesome late 60s era rock for a while.
Nick got one of the rare plank bodied P basses that made it to UK shores in the late 60s.

Jimmy Randall was Mark Andes replacement in Jo Jo Gunne before they called it quits, and I've never heard of Nick being part of this band, nor do I find anything in a search.
Warhorse had potential but faded before they got it really going.
Thanx for the Simper mention!
