not sure if this is in the right forum so... Nicklebacks bassist tone on pretty much all of silverside up is just balls to the wall, I know he uses peavey bass and guitar amps to get his tone I was just wondering if their would be any one way to get it. thanks.

You must mean "pile drivingly heavy."

Well, youre first big flaw is that he plays Spector basses, not Peavey. About how to get hs sound... no help from me. Sorry man.

The only reason you should want this info is so that you can never, ever be like Nickelback's bassist, right?

no I dont want to be like him, I just like his tone and think it would work well with the band I play with. since I have one guitar who plays with alot of low mids, mids and a second who plays mainly in mids and highs, so I need a thick low end simular to what his tone is.

Nickelback isn't really in my sphere of listening, but Spectors have a very distinct tone. Much like a Ric or a Stingray or a Warwick or even a Wal. Certain basses are hard to match with any other bass .
