No love for Roy Mitchell?

I don't hear a lot of talk about Roy Mitchell Cardenas from Mutemath. I think the guys great! And he's a big part of when I decided to play bass! So tell me, am I just reading too much into him? Or is he just underrated? (For those who haven't heard some of his stuff ...)

MUTEMATH: "Chaos" Live on Craig Ferguson - YouTube

MUTEMATH - Obsolete - ROY upclose on fretless bass - YouTube

I love the guy! But is he really not as great as I make him out to be?

he's awesome, i have all the mutemath records and love his playing. he has a very unique approach to his basslines in that they aren't stereotypical linear lines. great use of effects as well.

love mutemath and roy

He is a criminally underrated player; absolutely one of the biggest influences on my playing style. He is also a genuinely nice guy, to boot.

Nice guy without a doubt - saw them for the third time this past week in Sacramento and got the chance to talk shop with him a bit after the show. Someone said "criminally underrated" - I'd say that is accurate. The guy is phenomenal. MUTEMATH would not be who they are without him. He also played all the guitars on the Odd Soul album after Greg Hill parted ways with the band. I think he just flat out rocks it.
