No Rocco Prestia Thread Lately - Here's Some Awesome Video

Went searching for Rocco discussion and found few Rocco specific posts. I just found this YouTube video of him with David Garibaldi and can't stop watching it! Tightest rythym section ever - and Rocco makes playing so many groovy notes look so damn effortless!

I can't believe there isn't more love for Rocco and this clip! I've watched it probably a dozen times in the last two days and still can't get enough of it - all four musicians are so on.

The great thing about Rocco is that he is SO funky without slapping and popping. IMHO its a better listen, and is funkier than the typical slap/pop show stuff that hijacks the rhythm away from the groove of the tune. But what do I know. Love The Prestia though!

I read an article in Bass Player mag with Rocco about a year ago, what a cool dude. The thing that stood out the most to me was the fact that Rocco stated "it's just a slab of wood" when discussing basses, that some people just go way to far with boutique/expensive basses. How true. go rocco

That's hilarious, Wil, I used "percolating" in my Facebook post of this - it fits Rocco and Garibaldi perfectly!

I've seen this clip many, many times. Its from the Bass Day 98 IIRC. Rocco is great but holy cow Dave is unbelievable.

That TOP rythym section is my favorite EVER!!! I have seen them live more than 60 times over the years, and already have tickets to see them at teh Keswick Theatre in Glenside, PA on 4-15-2011.

My profile photo was taken at a TOP show, and the two ladies in the photo with me were at the time girlfriends with a band member and one of their sound men (one of the couples has since broken-up, and the other is still together with a 2 year-old son.
