Norm Stockton clinic in Dallas, TX. September 2006?????

Sign in to disble this ad
To all you North Texas bassists. I am looking at bringing Norm Stockton to the North Texas area around September. I am putting out a feeler as to what you guys think. The clinic would be held at my church in Irving (by Texas Stadium). Of course it would be free. I attended his clinic last May, and really enjoyed it. I though I would have him back.

I'm really looking for some feedback as to who would be interested in attending.

I'll be hosting, and my abilities are way less than stellar. I assure you, you are more than welcome.

It's a 2 1/2 hr. drive, but I might be interested. What day of the week and how long? What all do we bring?
My daughter lives down there, maybe I'll visit her while I'm down.

It will be on a Saturday evening. We will start around 7pm, and go until ???????? However long Norm wants to go (I'm thinking 10-11pm). You can leave when ever you want. You do not need to bring anything execpt your bass if you want. I'm sure Pete will bring a couple, and I will have mine there. Plus Norm is totally cool on people playing his bass as well. You don't have to play at all. He asks for volunteers on occasion to get up & jam with him. No pressure. I didn't play last year at all, and probably won't this year either. I was thinking we will have a couple of breaks, and if people want to jam they will be more than welcome. I will provide the soft drinks. It's a small financial commitment on my part, but I'm willing to pay it if we can have a good turn out.

Wow - you are in for a treat!

Anyone reading this who is in the area needs to make a SPECIAL EFFORT to make this. Norm Stockton is an awesome Bassist and a very nice guy, to boot!

I wish I lived down that way!
