Last night I saw The Wilko Johnson band and their bass player was one Norman Watt-Roy, very impressive player who displayed some top notch playing, loved every minute .

He was the bass player for Ian Dury and the Blockheads - Hit me wih your Rhythm Stick - has one of the best basslines ever for a hit single!!

He also did a lot of session work - e.g. for Trevor Horn, with Frankie goes to Hollywood!

Great Player!!

The gig was at The Brook in Southampton, my favourite gig venue, holds about 600 people and always a top sound and friendly atmosphere .
Norman has worked with so many well known acts including the Clash too .

Norman was featured in the online BBC magazine recently. It was about him having his teeth fixed finally!
