I forgot to mention, but I think they still have student discounts on the second set, check their website!

Just checked the site and Jay Oliver is playing keyboards. That is worth the trip right there. Jay is a wonderful, wonderful producer/keyboardist who is an old friend of Tommy's and Dave's best friend. He is one of the great 'pop' keyboard players out there, and hasn't toured with Dave in quite some time.

That would be worth seeing. Tommy, Dave and Jay have been playing together on and off for 25 years, starting in St. Louis.

I had the pleasure of playing many gigs with Jay years ago, and it was always an inspiration to me. He's also a great drummer, and Dave gives him credit for infuencing his drum sound and style.

Cool. I wish I was up there to check it out.

Thank you KJung for sharing that info, it certainly makes me want to go even more to see these guys. I saw them once back when I was living in South America (in Bogota, Colombia) and they were incredible. I specially liked how Dave Weckl and Tom K can create these very solid lines, almost "interlocked" without any of them lossing they particular sound and style. Plus Tom is a monster! he pulls off the most complex grooves and solos so graciously!, I also like the fretless-esque sound he manages to create. If you can go ... don't miss it!
