Just went to the melbourne big day out and good lord! I managed to get no more than 3 feet away frow Ryan Martinie as he slapped, tapped and played the **** out of his warwick thumbs AND got to see the mars volta bassist shred it up in a mammoth bass solo all in one day!!!! Could life get ANY better? I think not!!!

Juan Alderete (MV) blows me away, simply put. He has become one of my favorite rock bassists.

I haven't heard enough Mudvayne to get a feel for Martinie, but I'd like to check out his playing.
