i like to go back to the old schools stuff every so often in between five finger death punch and the chilis,,wow! 1968 and here's this band Booker T and the MG's,,heavy on the bass, great tone and killer licks(hope i didn't lose it here let's load this vid=)YouTube - ‪Booker T. & The MG's - Booker-Loo (1968)‬‏

ok hope i did not violate any rules here if i did then spam me and i won't do it again,,anyway,,it's like it's all here funk, groove, soul, rock, reggae, stumbled onto this this morning, trying to jam out the lines (tonight here)blahblahblah

,so much music thru the years(today included) you don't get the bass out of the mix(studio cuts/releases),that's why i seek out live stuff on you-tube,i've already heard the`releases' or for instance a buddy band cut a CD,bass is weak in the mix=?

ok just sayin' but if you can lay down the funk n' groove you are in command IMHO,,ok mo practice/later

That is the legendary Duck Dunn. Good influence for any bassist to learn from. You may know him better from the Blues Brothers movie...

Booker T & The MGs were the Stax house band. Just awesome.
