Yeah, Esperanza is awesome. I saw her play with her chamber orchestra and I was mesmerized. I love when she does "Wild is the Wind".

Awesome! She sure can groove. Love how she's mastered both BG and upright. Check this one of her covering Stevie Wonder!

Saturday's concert was amazing!! It was Terri Lyne Carrington's trio w/Esperanza...so she didn't sing. It was a little over my head but I still really enjoyed it. All 3 ladies were top notch musicians!

Such an inspiring experience and we got to meet Teri Lyne who signed her Grammy Nominated Mosaic Project CD and took a pic w/ my BassGirl

What's just amazing about that clip is she has Jaco's bass line blazing away while she is singing Wayne Shorter's sax parts. Just crazy good...

Just heard her next CD, Radio Music Society (due out soon), the followup to Chamber Music Society. It's electric and she gets that sweet Jaco tone (though it sounds like she's playing a fretted jazz and maybe a P Bass). She is an really sensitive player, nice light touch.
