This bassist has a great sound. At least I think so for the style of music.

seriously guys? Check out the Ruins from japan. all bass and drum action. Also...Hella. listen to Hella. guitar and drums at its finest. It should take more than bush league garage noise to make my day.

Before I watched the video, I thought the Drift was being kinda harsh, but after watching, I have to agree with him. Nothing spectacular in that band at all. Go listen to some Mors.

Ummm.... all I have to say is ...doy.

Yeah, yeah... there is 800 times more technical prowess in Ruins and Hella.. even Big Business if we are talking bass/drum duos.

I don't think these guys are trying to be the next Ruins... they ARE garage noise... and that's not a bad thing.

Just good time punk rock. You can take your musical snootytude and cram it up your butt.

I don't think you were referring to me, but I feel the need to defend myself anyway lol. I don't even think it's good by "garage noise" standards. Just another opinion, in a world full of em.

Agreed... For example, I had never heard of Mors, so I checked them out. Totally did not dig it, but I wouldn't go and say they were crap and compare them to someone that is completely different. Comparing Double Dagger to Ruins is like comparing Quiet Riot to Queensryche.. in terms of 80's metal.

LOL, so we agree then. Mors is actually MetalMatt's (a TB'er) band, a drum and bass 2 piece. I was just giving props.

I dig a lot of fast, loose, garage-y rock stuff, Double Dagger didn't do it for me. They do get props for having damn cool videos though.

"Liked" it, and "favorited" it too.

I once played a college house party in a basement just like that.
Awesome, but couldn't jump around much without hitting my head on a heating duct. Ouch.

The reason for the post was to comment really on how I liked the bassist's sound. Especially when he is playing chords. It wasn't about who is better, it all just different flavors no matter who is playing.

Ye gads! That's not a bass player. That's a guitar player with a bass in his hands. The sacrilege! Make the scurvy dog walk the plank!

See if you can find some of the stuff the Wright brothers from NoMeansNo did as just a bass/drums duo.
