Oteil's P-Bass... A MIM Road Worn???

Couldn't help but notice the similarities in the basses, especially the wear on the finish. Pretty cool if it is.

Besides his 6-string.
Oteil uses a 1964 Jazz bass, and yes, a fender "Roadworn" P-bass live.
Also seen pictures of him using a early 60's CAR Jazz in the studio.

I haven't had the chance to play one, but these must be nice basses. I'm looking for a P-bass and I love that finish/guard combo with the maple neck, but I don't know if I can bring myself to spend $1000 on a MIM Fender when I could pick from a variety of well-kept used MIA's on the forum.

I seen these sell for $950.
Yes, it's a lot of money.
But these basses kill, worth every penny.
You will love the necks.

Watching Oteil on tv right now with the roadworn P-Bass. And honestly, he sounds great! And for those Allman Brothers fans out there, you can catch Oteil and the Brothers on the MSG network tonight and for most of this week as they broadcast about a dozen of their shows from New York's Beacon theater!
