Owen Biddle and the Roots!

I know Owen has blown up here on TB lately, but this video is incredible! He tears it up later in the song with Captain Kirk.

The Roots, with Owen Biddle.

I know he is a member here, but he has blown my mind lately. I have always been a fan of the Roots, and Owen gives me hope that I can someday get into a funky.hip hop band..

Again, amazing video, with an amazing group.

yeah, that whole soundstage episode has been running on Palladia lately. He's ridiculously good. They're apparently the house band for late night w/ jimmy fallon also. (guessing this is a temp thing.)

Blasphemy! Who doesnt love a combination of funk and hip hop? To each their own! Biddle just tears up!

Is that is Callowhill J(unk)? It looks like a Valenti headstock.

I just don't like the hip-hop aspect... love the funk though. This is because I have an uncanny ability to sing in that funk-falsetto voice. They have a great guitarist too.

Youre very welcome. Another one of my favorite bassists, Ben Kenney, started out playing guitar for the Roots.. Yes, he was a guitard. If you cant tell a bit by his playing, shame on you.

Owen is featured in the current issue of Bass Player Magazine. I haven't read it yet.
