P-Nut (311)

Here is a short video of 311's bassist, who goes simply by P-Nut. In this video he talks breifly about his signature Warwick and is seen doing some jamming. An incredible bass player (in my opinion) who is extremely underrated, just curious what anyone thought of him?

Just in case it interested anyone, they did record a cover of Zeppelin's "Dye Maker", which can be seen live in this video...

yeah,.. he's cool. if he took the guitar player and drummer and did a power trio, i would buy it!!! not really a 311 fan, though.

Listening to 311 and playing along with P-Nut's lines is what taught me how to play bass.

interesting thought, they have a great bass and drum combo, but I never thought about throwing in the guitar as well to make it a trio

I started playing country about 1992 when I was 12, and when I was 16 I discovered 311 and they opened me up to tons of other kinds of music. P-Nut is my favorite bass player, hands down. I love playing 311 stuff on bass.

P-Nut is an inspiring bass player, and easy to reach. Just hit up the 311 forum where he is a semi-regular poster.

Here are a few that I was messing around with Saturday morning:
