Any fans out there? Whether it's Ministry, Revco or Lead Into Gold, he is a master of locking down that groovy bass line.

I'm a fan, specially his time with Ministry... Haven't heard the USSA cd though...

I'm really late to this thread but HELL YEAH, I'm a fan. Paul's bass tone is the gospel on bass distortion whether it be Ministry, Lard, RevCo, USSA, or Flowering Blight.

He's a hell of a nice dude, too!

I am a huge fan. Filth Pig and Dark Side of the Spoon have the thickest bass tone in history in my opinion. Check out this article I found - Hollowbody Bass Archive » Paul Barker of Ministry – Hollowbody Bassist

Vegas532 and I have had a private love-in over Barkers work. He'll tell you about what he's up to if you PM him. You won't be disappointed

I'm waiting to see of he can top Golden Dawn...

Paul Barker

Big fan of his work. IMO Ministry records have definitely suffered since his departure.

And Vegas is right- he's a pretty cool dude as well. My story-

Many years ago my roommate was FOH engineer for Ministry. Paul stopped by with him a few times and once while visiting he had to do a phone interview for Spin magazine. The only working phone in our apartment was this Crest-Man character plastic novelty telephone, (our GF's both worked for a dentist), but he kept his cool and did the interview with it.
I'll never forget the look on his face when he realized he had to use that stupid phone to conduct some official rock business. Priceless.
