I doubt only one person has thought of the USSR USA similarities. There have been tons of "recycled" band names. Considering how many bands there have been over the past X amount of decades, it's not surprising when a band name repeats.

Widowmaker was a band that Ariel Bender formed after Mott The Hoople. It was also a band that Dee Snider formed after Twisted Sister.

I took THAT CD and put it in the popular CD section. Some 14 year old girl bought it and was outraged and returned it. Funny thing is the CD cover looks like this:
