Paul D'Amour bass?

Can anyone tell me what kind of bass Paul is using in this video? I've heard that he mainly used Rickenbacker 4001s, but that doesn't look like one to me. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hush

Paul's bass line-up was:

Ovation Magnum (pre-Opiate, Opiate)
Rickenbacker Chris Squire model (Undertow, post-Undertow)
MM Stingray (post-Undertow)

I'm told, though I don't know for sure, that he still uses the Ric and the MM to this day.

Yeah, it's an Ovation Magnum.... oddball old bass from the 70s. The rather funny thing is, that most of its real fans are reggae guys because of the insanely deep and fat sounds the neck pickup will give you.....but the bridge PU is Rickenbacker-like bright and clangy. They made em in a few different versions, one of which had a preamp with sliders instead of knobs. The most popular versions are the I and II, the III and IV weren't as good.

This article has some stuff on them.

Jah Wobble with one:

judging by the sheer size of that pickup combined with it's close proximity to the neck i can imagine that sound being incredibly FAT!
