Very little. That said, you'll never see me complain about my guitarist. He's been my best friend for 35 years, he's my daughter's Godfather and he's easily the best rhythm player this side of Keef and he's a passable lead player, always plays within himself. Our band will be having a big 30th anniversary gig this fall. Yeah, we're only a classic rock cover band, but we're still playing and still having a flipping blast doing it.

I still play acoustic for my own and my family's enjoyment. I've been playing guitar since '93, only started on bass about 18 months ago, so it's just another old friend for me. I still find it much much easier to play guitar than bass, but I'll overcome my deficiencies in bass eventually with a lot of practice.

I do more than dabble.

My guitarist is a great player and a great friend.

But that's why it's so fun to pick on him.

It's everybody else's guitards that actually bug me!

I have more guitars than basses but I can't play them cause the strings are so small I can't see them or feel them.

I actually like playing guitar

I recently started playing "muzzle" by the smashing pumpkins...I like playing acoustic songs...and a little bit of singing.

My brother had this brutal distortion pedal that I looooved playing some metal songs with!

The only thing that happens with me and a guitar is that I get frustrated with the tuning...and the overall mess of thin strings! hahaha Guess I'm pretty used to my bass

I switch between guitar and bass a lot and yeah, the G and B thing sometimes can throw you off. If I've been playing guitar for a while, I'll sometimes mess up the intervals on the treble strings of a bass because I'm expecting a major third, and vice versa.

And I think I'm just forever destined to be a better picker than a plucker. It has to do with the fact that even if I spend 2/3 of my bass time plucking, I spend 100% of my guitar time picking.

I started on guitar 15 years ago. After a year, I switched to bass and rarely touch a guitar. I like guitar players that want to be part of a band (Typically "rythm" players). Can't stand playing with guitarist who want to be the band.

Guitar doesn't work for me. I can't fret for a darn because of my fat fingers and general lack of interest. I dabble in keys and computer-based composition, though.

Sure. I pull my Strat out from time to time. I suck, but no one is listening but me.

Guitarists and guitardists are two different kinds of people. I like the former and hate the latter.

I play acoustic on my own, either to learn songs for fun or write, and I even make a few bucks on the side teaching some kids I know how to play guitar, so I get some extra personal "practice time" in that way.

I really don't know many insufferable guitarists. My best friend plays some great acoustic and is a great singer, and even most of the lead players I've met have been really down to earth and humble. I may just be blessed to know the right people, but the main musicians I've had problems with have always either been drummers or vocalists (the latter especially; I've played in church for most of my musical life and there were some huge prima donna female vocalists who insisted everything go exactly the way they wanted). Even then, though, that's just generalizing.

Yeah, I dabble. My plan is to becoma a relly great blues guitarist. Unfortunately I have even LESS discipline on guitar when it comes to practicing than I do on bass. So, I pretty much flat out suck on guitar, where I'm only mediocre on bass.

I started off on guitar, and only recently started playing bass, but I have more or less converted, I rarely play guitar unless I'm recording.

I play lead about 75% of the time on gigs. Mainly because no one wants to sing or can't sing and play at the same time.
I've only played lead seriously for about 2 years..Bass, 11 years.

www.steviesnacks.com helped out a BUNCH!!! Dude is an awsome teacher and does the best job 'doing Stevie' (if possible) than anybody else I've seen. Tone, feel, licks, the whole deal. Check him out!

I play guitar in two bands! I am song oriented, I keep a reasonable stage volume, I rarely solo, and I have high quality gear that always functions without a hitch.

I've always played both, so I never really saw a reason to have issue with someone for playing either. I do tend to prefer bass, but I'll never be without a guitar.
