Get serious, even Pete Wentz says he's a crappy, simplistic bass player, he's a front man and an entertainer.
And by your measurements the greatest rock band of the late 60's must be the Monkees since between 67-68 they had higher ranking hits(on the charts) and sold more records than the Beatles, and the The Stones combined, not to mention The Doors, Jimi Hendirx, and Janis Joplin.
