My brother and I grew up listening to Type O. We got to see them I NYC about 2 years before he passed and it was amaze balls. October Rust is an amazing album but Bloody Kisses is pure nostalgia for me!

RIP Pete

I heard the tape Skip It was the same as the CD one... As for TMOSAIDC I prefer the 'Wombs and Tombs' mix!

The entire thread was tongue-in-cheek.... or tongue-in-a*s, as Peter would say.

I remember I had a CD off Metal Hammer magazine that had a Type O Negative song on there that I really love, I'll try to figure out what song it was, funnily enough I watched I Know What You Did Last Summer the other day and I think it featured them too.

I'm glad I started this thread. I've enjoyed your comments & stories. I was lucky enough to spend a couple hours with him backstage prior to and after a show in Seattle. I also was lucky enough to run the fog machine during Black No 1. I wish I would have saved Pete's voicemail he left for me. It was glorious.

The song from the movie is their version of "Summer Breeze". Funny thing is; they didn't even know it was going to be used in the movie. The way they found out is they went to go see it and got startled when the theater went dark and heard their music blaring through the sound system.

I saw TON twice back in the 90's at The Rave in Milwaukee and fortunately got to meet Peter and the rest of the guys on both occasions. Pete was by far one of the funniest people I've ever met in my life. I remember after seeing them the 1st time, everyone is out behind the venue ignoring security and waiting for the band to come out to the bus. They eventually did and hung around for autographs and pictures. One kid in particular, asks Pete if he can get a picture with him with one special request: he wants to get on Pete's back. Pete thought about it for a moment and agreed. Little fanboy, Big friggin' frontman. Funny, right? No sooner does the flash from the camera go off and Peter starts thrashing around and yelling, "AH! GET HIM OFF ME!!! GET HIM OFF ME!!! HE'S GOT A HARD-ON!!!" The entire lot of us, fans, the band, even the kid who was the brunt of the joke laughed hysterically. I think my two friends and I were still laughing about it the entire 90 minute drive home. One of the best concert experiences I've ever had. R.I.P.

crap, i miss type o negative...saw them no less than 30 times...the last type o show i saw was at the showbox in seattle with moonspell and cradle of filth...had such a BLAST at that show...i auditioned for moonspell in the late '90's and ended up re-enlisting in the navy, and they remembered me, so we hung out in the alley before the show kicking a soccer ball around, and i got to hang out with johnny kelly for a bit...slitzy and pete were chasing each other around the bus...pete damn near knocked me over, johnny grabbed my arm and kept me from going over a curb, at which point pete stopped and apologized...then, i get "pants'd" by slitzy and he pushes me over the curb anyway with my pants around my ankles...pete reaches over, slaps the bejeezus out of slitzy and helps me up...he says, hey, nice underwear...hung out with them for a few minutes and had fun just talking about nothing...slitzy kept sneaking around behind me and pinching my ass...what a trip...i never really saw them to hang out like that at any other show i went to...another good one was at the zoo in savannah, ga with drain sth and stuck mojo...there was hardly anyone there, and it was just a crazy show

Pete is sorely missed. I love Type O and Pete's bass work with them, but let's not forget about the mighty Carnivore.

Favorite Type O bass line: "Kill All the White People"

Favorite Carnivore bass line: "Jesus Hitler"
