Phil collins, What Bassist?

Sign in to disble this ad
Who played bass on most of the phil collins stuff? like 'Something happened on the way to heaven' and 'Easy lover' 'in the air tonight' 'all of my life'

He has some tight bass playing and some great lines, and also a beautiful fat tone aswell.

Anyone know?

Thanks in advance,

Also-
John Giblin played on "In The Air Tonight".
Alphonso Johnson also played on a few Face Value tracks.

Pino played fretless on some ballad-type tunes like "I Wish It Would Rain Down".

BTW, it's Nathan East on "Something Happened On The Way To Heaven" & co-wrote "Easy Lover".

This one has "in the air tonight" and shows John Giblin on bass;

For more I recommend his site, which is where I got this stuff;

He's one of my son's favorites. Thanks for the thread.
