Here's a picture of my 12-year-old son at his school's talent show in April. He's using the school's bass in this pic. There's a black SX waiting under the Christmas tree right now with his name on it.

haha, yeah I got the hitchhiker.

I liked the EB-3, but it is only for rock. No slap at all, just no tone for anything but rock.

Other negative is that it is very top heavy. You MUST get strap locks for it. Even then, when you take you hands off the bass, the head dives striaght down.

But if you're for a cheaper rock/punk bass, this is a great bass. I did sell mine though, because I didn't like it's tone, but I play all kinds of music so that's why.

If the OP wasnt a teen himself, I would have been kinda freaked out.

But, I havent had any good gigs yet to get any good pics. Will do ASAP.

+1 I thought it was kind of a strange request...although you don't know that he's a teenager at all! Talkbass doesn't verify your facts. However, I'm sure if a moderator thinks this thread crosses some sort of line as to what is appropriate, action will be taken.

Is it not appropriate? sry if its not, i just want to see kids playing bass, which is a rarity today with all the guitar players and guitar hero freaks

Thats not my decision to make. Although I find it encouraging to see kids taking up real instruments, I can see why a thread dedicated to pictures of them could be viewed with suspicion by some. The internet can be a shady place after all.

I think it would be different if the thread was titled "Pics of kids playing bass.....naked" but alas it's not so i think we are all good hah!

Its cool seeing the younger crowd of bas splayers ( not that I'm an old man at 20) MOst kids rather pick up a video game then an instrument
