| | | | Not too sure what I think of this. Undoubtedly great players and some fun moments,
but I just keep waiting for something to "happen". It didn't for me.

chris is so awesome. i can do without the explosions of overplaying he does when he does it too often, but nobody can get your head bouncing the way chris can... him pino and glasper are going to be on jose james' new record, witch will probably kill.. |

it really is a matter of taste, nothing can't be done cause that's just the way it is.
About "the explosions of overplaying" i guess if there weren't any, it would end up being kinda boring since it's instrumental music...i'd die to hear those guys backing a singer for sure but it's obviously not the point here; i've seen lots of "jazz 4tets"(Wayne Shorter, Branford Marsalis,Kenny Garrett (with Chris)...) or 6tets(Steve Coleman, Roy Hargrove...) and even if Chris' show wasn't my fav concert ever, seeing and hearing this live was something else, to say the least.

Big fan of Chris tho. Love him with Mint Condition.
Pino is the MAN!!!!

| | | | I'm sure they enjoyed themselves and so did at least some of those audience members that attended this jam.
Good enough, I recon.

I, at 55 years of age with 41 years of playing bass and a music degree from a respected music conservatory along with backing performances for national acts, can have an opinion, no?

| | | | I think there are some interesting moments within these clips but overall I feel that it's a case of names over substance here.
This Jam did evidently entertain those in attendance, which is the important bit I recon.
