i was just wondering, does anyone know if pinos playing a fretless in the where the light is performance? i cant be sure, i thought it was fretted at first but i cant see any in that vid.

it's his fretted P (flats)- Fender makes a version of it for an insane amount of $$ . . . love the tone too!

Yeah that's a fretted P (an early '60s or his signature replica of that bass). When Pino goes for fretless that's normally on his Stingray which he currently uses with PSP.

I've read though that the frets on this bass are rather small/worn down considerably. Might be part of what you are hearing/seeing.
