I just saw this comment on a YouTube video...

Quote:
I hate it when people compare Pino to God; I mean he's good, but he aint no Pino...

That's just one more reason to be jealous of the UK; I can't imagine a storyline like that on US TV.

Too bad Pino plays so little fretless now although he does kill it with a P-bass.

Saw him last night anchoring D'Angelo's unit with Chris "Daddy" Dave on drums...WOW! My first time seeing him and I can now cross that off the bucket list... AMAZING show, one of the best... Pino murdered with the P. Took out a jazz for one tune and killed that too...I left speechless and can't wait to see him again....

Great stuff! Getting that kind of time with Pino in an interview is a rare treat. And it's funny to hear him talk about how self-concious he was about how upfront his part was mixed in "Wherever I lay my hat", thinking that it might cost him gigs.

Good lord that joke is overused... It's pretty true in Pino's case, though!

Ah, Pino - pure class. That man epitomizes what I love about bass. Nothing too flashy and always tasteful.

Funny, but I never noticed now much that "Stravinsky line" got used by him. It's in the middle of the solo in David Gilmore's "Murder". Doesn't he know any other licks?!

Interviewer wasn't hard on the eyes either.

Man I love Pino! What a fantastic player .. And I was pretty taken aback when he said he doesn't read music, I'm kinda surprised about that! Interesting
