Hi all,

Does anyone have any idea who this bassist is? (Seen here with Ronald Isley at the North Sea Jazz Festival in 1994.)

Any pointers much appreciated.

Thanks,

Stevie

To me that looks like the late Marvin Isley before he put on a bit of weight later in his life.

From Wikipedia:

"In 1991, Marvin Isley returned as member of the Isley Brothers with Ronald and Ernie and carried on until 1997, when he developed diabetes"

That guy looks too young to be Marvin, even if it was in 1994.

Thanks very much for your reply.

However, it's not Marvin, as Marvin is also playing bass on the same gig!! I've attached a wider view of the same pic, which shows Marvin in the background.

Thanks,

Stevie

Thanks Thundar!

It's a great relief to finally put a name to the face.
