Post your favorite THREE-CHORD song HERE!

Mods: please put this thread where you choose with my understanding. But PLEASE don't put it in a forum that isn't included on the start page. Thanks.

OKAY. A new poll here; I'm looking for songs with THREE CHORDS. Preferably songs that are AFTER 1970 and would be something new students would like to learn. Preferably songs that fit the I-IV-V form. Preferably songs that most people have heard before (including teenagers).

PREFERABLY, but not NECESSARILY.

Sweet Home Alabama satisfies most of the criteria above (yes, it could be looked at as I-IV-V, or I-bVII-IV, sure, but no worries there for me). This is to go along with my new motto, "Respect Simplicitiy", that I am implementing upon my students.

I'd love any help you could give me. I'm afraid "Oh, Those Golden Slippers" just ain't doin' it for my students.

We Are 138 - The Misfits, although it's not I-IV-V.

Technically, Blitzkrieg Bop is 4 chords, cause there's a couple of quick B chords in the chorus.

Small Things - Blink 182. Not I-IV-V, but ridiculously simple nonetheless.

Well I'll have to think about this more, but(I'm still trying to learn how about chord progressions by ear) The Pixie's Where is My Mind is a good I-IV-V example.

Thinking about it again, it is neither I-IV-V, nor only three chords. It is a great example of simplicity however.

Well, maybe not exactly but close enough for a bar full of drunken Dylan fans at last call. I remember reading an interview with a guitar player who went to audition for Dylan. He said that Dylan told him to play LARS like La Bamba. That has always stuck with me for some reason.
