Don't know who he is and what he has done to his bass. But one thing is for sure: He's done a wonderfull job there:

that was cool as. he really boosted the song tastefully . i want to know who he is. the singer was in our little town with brian ferry doing a show not long ago. almost went cos i love roxy but thought it may be a bit off.

Gene Simmons is living proof that you don't really have to be a good musician to be successful. You just have to be good at marketing and showmanship. And he is a master at both.

yes this is all very true. the crowed loved it . i dont do solos myself because it would probably sound like that
