Do any of you fellow bassist ever get together with other bassist and talk about and kid about monster bass rigs?
You know like when a guitar player or drummer gets louder and louder and you say to yourself, I wish i had a 8- 18 cab with a 5000 watt head to blow the legs out from under that guitar player who keeps turning up or blow the drummer off his stool for getting to loud!

That is why I love my Crown. It will keep up with Marshall stacks.

I just refuse to play with individuals who try to compensate for something lacking about themselves or their lives with amp wattage. I only play small clubs, not stadiums, and I see guitarists rock these places hard with 15-40 watt combos all night long. If I see more wattage than that, or more than two speakers per guitar player, I'm heading for a door within two songs anyway. But then, I'm an old fart; what do I know?

Look for posts in the Rigs of Doom thread by Bob Bonner (user rbonner), he is building one!
