Gianni shows us why practicing things like this (@ 0:41) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8w_-L...eature=channel

Makes you the bassist they call when they need someone to play things like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKT4N...eature=channel

And people tried to say he was sloppy or something, give me a break.

Slap like that.. I mean, it's impressive and all, but to me it sounds... Like a rabbit making babies at the speed of light, to say it mildly :P Way to percussive, play the bongos or something instead.

Just my opinion!

I didn't watch the links, but the old saying is wrong.

Practice doesn't make "perfect".

"Perfect practice" makes "perfect".

In other words, if you religiously practice but have bad technique or are practicing the wrong things, you are doing yourself no good. You have to practice correctly.

You can say that again.

My coach used to tell us "Practice Makes Permanent" Seems to hold true to the bass.

Not into this style of slap
